Haley + Jake

I’m so excited for you to follow Hailey and Jake’s Journey! I’m so privileged that they reached out to me to shoot their wedding in October!!!

Here is their engagement story, because who doesn’t love a good one! They got engaged on October 3rd while camping one last time in Stanley before it got too cold. Then hiked to a waterfall called Bridal Veil Falls where he proposed. Haley was VERY surprised, she said they had talked about being engaged but had no idea when it would come. “It was a really special moment, very intimate between just him and I,” she stated. Cue my heart melting!!!

Fast forward to me meeting them at a hip coffee shop in Nampa, Idaho. We got to know each other and chat about their big day. They are so much fun! They even invited me and my husband to party with them after the wedding with their friends! (They’re having a big camp out and hanging around after the reception since Haley is from California and wants to make the most of everyone in town)

We ended up shooting their engagements up at Bogus Basin Ski Resort, just a little before you make it all the way to the top. It was super busy, so we decided to find a trail and trek our way through the snow #worthit. I may have even dropped my brand, stinking new polaroid camera in the snow *insert face palm. That’s what happens when you are carrying too much stuff and believe in your walking abilities! Good news though, it still works! Thank goodness! Even though it was freezing, we were shedding layers because we hiked the mountain. It was such a beautiful day and we were lucky we were able to get the parking spot to the trail!

Needless to say, I can’t wait for these two to get hitched.
